EEP

EEP is Rosie Varela (vocals, guitar, percussion), Ross Ingram (vocals, guitar, drums), and Sebastian Estrada, (vocals, bass, drums). Their first two albums Death of a Very Good Machine (2020) and Winter Skin (2021) earned critical acclaim from a number of outlets.

EEP’s new album You Don’t Have To Be Prepared (out November 1, 2024) is inspired by an audio message on a tape that the band found inside a 1979 Hammond Cougar organ. The message is from a middle-aged woman named Anne in Clay Center, Kansas for her sweetheart in El Paso, Texas. She’s exiting her old life and entering a new one, jumping across the country and into her next chapter. You Don’t Have To Be Prepared is a concept album that explores Anne’s journey and incorporates dream pop and experimental rock into their shoegaze foundation.
